Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 1/4 cup bourbon
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
– 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
– Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Directions:
1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
4. Pour the bourbon sauce over the chicken and stir to coat.
5. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
7. Serve the Bourbon Chicken over rice or noodles.
