Crispy Chicken Strips
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken Strips:
- Cut the chicken breasts into strips of uniform size, about 1 inch wide.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
- Coat the Chicken Strips:
- Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured chicken strip into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Finally, coat the chicken strip in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat with remaining chicken strips.
- Fry the Chicken Strips:
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the coated chicken strips into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the skillet.
- Fry the chicken strips in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve:
- Once all the chicken strips are cooked, serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or ranch dressing.
- Enjoy these crispy chicken strips as a delicious appetizer, snack, or main course!
