CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Crispy Chicken Strips

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Strips:
    • Cut the chicken breasts into strips of uniform size, about 1 inch wide.
    • In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
    • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
    • Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
  2. Coat the Chicken Strips:
    • Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip the floured chicken strip into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is evenly coated.
    • Finally, coat the chicken strip in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat with remaining chicken strips.
  3. Fry the Chicken Strips:
    • In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
    • Carefully place the coated chicken strips into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the skillet.
    • Fry the chicken strips in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
    • Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. Serve:
    • Once all the chicken strips are cooked, serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or ranch dressing.
    • Enjoy these crispy chicken strips as a delicious appetizer, snack, or main course!
