Crock-Pot Hot Dog Chili

Crock-Pot Hot Dog Chili

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound of ground beef (opt for a lean cut like 90/10)

⅓ cup of water

5 ounces of tomato sauce

½ cup of ketchup

1 tablespoon of yellow mustard

1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons of chili powder

½ teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of black pepper

½ teaspoon of sugar

½ teaspoon of onion powder or minced onion

DIRECTIONS:

In a medium skillet over medium heat, I combine the ground beef and water.

I ensure to continuously break up the ground beef while it is cooking, aiming for a fine texture.

I drain off any remaining water/grease from the skillet.

I add the cooked beef to my slow cooker.

I incorporate all the remaining ingredients into the slow cooker and stir them together.

I allow the mixture to cook on LOW for 2 to 2-1/2 hours.

I serve the chili on hot dogs, french fries, or burgers!
