Ultimate Baked French Fries

This is a great recipe! Goes good with olive oil or coconut oil. If you want to cut the baking time (which is what I prefer to do), just boil the potatoes for a few minutes then finish in the oven nice and brown, yum!

Tasty alternative and also to avoid frozen french fries. Decided to decrease garlic salt to 1 tsp. Cooking time for my oven required an additional 10 minutesto the 35 minutes, to make them cripsy on the outside.

Ingredients:

  • cooking spray
  • 2 large potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; spray with cooking spray.

Toss potatoes with vegetable oil in a large bowl.

Add Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, basil, salt, and black pepper; toss to coat.

Arrange seasoned potatoes on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven until fries are tender and lightly browned, 30 to 35 minutes.
