The women discover they are half-sisters 30 years after they began working together.

What if you found out that your long-lost family member, your half-sister, happens to be your long-time colleague?

Believe it or not, Cheryl Becker and Linda Rinaldi had the same concept simultaneously!

According to their respective ages, Cheryl Becker is 68 years old, and Linda Rinaldi is 69 years old.

The two of them first met almost three decades ago while working at a hospital in Connecticut.

She and the other woman had the impression that they were related somehow and that they had a particular bond.

“She is one-of-the kindest persons I’ve ever met,” says Rinaldi of his acquaintance.

Although they first met three decades ago, Rinaldi moved away, and the two lost contact.

Suddenly, everything changed when Cheryl’s husband, Ralph, became interested in genealogy and family history.

According to Cheryl, her inquisitiveness was a blessing in disguise. After receiving a DNA test as a gift, she went online to seek up one of the DNA websites.

Her DNA tests proved that she is not half-French and half-Italian, as she had previously believed to be the case.

“It said I was from the British Isles,” I explained, according to her. However, it did not say that I was 100% Irish. But it didn’t say anything about my race, and that was all I knew.”

Her discoveries made her feel as though she had been lying to herself for most of her life. ‘Who am I?’ she wondered as she peered into the glass.

Worse, her biological father was not the man who reared her.

“I don’t believe he knew about it,” she later said.

She was surrounded by chaos. She couldn’t figure-out what was going-on.

On the other hand, Genealogy testing offered hope to the presumed half-sisters.

The results revealed that she was linked to Linda Rinaldo in particular.

She knew it was the same lady because she had previously worked with her.

All that was written in the outcome was ‘close relatives or first cousins.’

Her only statement, according to Rinaldi, was that we were related. ‘Wouldn’t it be amusing if we were twins?’ I made a joke. She said, “I know you’re my sister.”

Linda commented that she had not anticipated meeting someone who shared her sense of humor.

Their suspicions were confirmed by a DNA test: they were half-sisters!

They were only 16-months apart in age.

Linda was a “gift from above,” according to Cheryl Beckers since she helped her notice a sister’s aptitude.

“It was the open arms with which she embraced me.” She had only recently greeted me. That was the turning point in my life.” Cheryl told TODAY.

Sisters who have been missing for an extended period now have all the time to make amends.

Becker went on to say that while they had lost the previous 30 years, they had gained the next 30.

“Like sisters, we build memories.” “What started off as a challenging circumstance turned into a nice one.”
