Sugar Buns

Today we have sugar buns on the menu – delicious and quite easy to prepare. I think you noticed that on our site all the recipes are quite simple and quick. And of course they are delicious! It is this recipe for buns that will take a leading place in your cookbook.

Ingredients:

  • milk – 200 ml
  • sugar – 50 gr
  • vanilla sugar – 10 gr
  • dry yeast – 7 gr
  • egg – 1 pc.
  • flour – 500-550 gr
  • butter – 30 gr
  • vegetable oil – 40 ml
  • a pinch of salt
  • sugar for sprinkling
  • butter for greasing the dough

Sugar buns. Step by step recipe

Pour warm milk into a bowl, add sugar and dry yeast. Also add a couple of tablespoons of flour from the total, mix and let the dough rise. Leave for 5-7 minutes.

After the specified time, add the egg and vanilla sugar.

Pour in 40 ml of vegetable oil and add a pinch of salt. Now add the sifted flour and knead the dough.

Add 30 grams of soft butter to the dough and mix well.

Put the dough in a bowl, cover it with cling film and put it in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, to double the dough in volume.

Divide the dough into pieces, make koloboks out of them.

Roll out each kolobok with a rolling pin, grease with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.

Then bend the sides of the dough and twist it with a roll, pinch the sides.

Place the buns on a baking sheet, cover with a towel and let rise again.

Brush the top of the buns with beaten egg.

Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 15-20 minutes.
