BAKED grilled cheese? My fav part of the grilled cheese is the crispy parts which you still get on top but the bottom is like a baked French toast texture (while this is not sweet at all) It was a big hit at our house!
Feel free to use whatever cheeses you love
Ingredients
- 8 slices bread – we used Italian
- 4 slices manchego
- 4 Monterey Jack
- 8 oz mozzarella
- 1 3/4 milk
- 2 eggs
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/2 stick of butter
Instructions
Butter your casserole dish.
Add first layer of bread, slice of manchego to each slice, 1 1/4 slice of bacon, slice of monterey jack and top with next slice of bread (creating 4 sandwiches).
Add your eggs to your milk, season with S&P, whisk and pour over your bread.
Cover in mozzarella cheese, a pat of butter and bake for 350 for 30-35 min and a few min broil
