His parents look at the truck and ask, \u201cWhere did you get that truck?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI bought it today,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith what money?\u201d says his mother.<\/p>\n<p>They knew what a new F150 cost.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell,\u201d he says, \u201cthis one cost me just fifteen dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The father looks at him like he\u2019s crazy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho would sell a truck like that for fifteen dollars?\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the lady up the street,\u201d says the boy. \u201cI don\u2019t know her name \u2013 they just moved in. She saw me ride past on my bike and asked me if I wanted to buy her F150 for fifteen dollars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh my Goodness!\u201d says the mother. \u201cMaybe she\u2019s mentally ill or has Alzheimer\u2019s something. John, you better go see what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So the boy\u2019s father walks up the street to the house where the lady lives and finds her out in the yard calmly planting petunias.<\/p>\n<p>He introduces himself as the father of the boy to whom she had sold a new Ford F150 truck for fifteen dollars and asks to know why she did it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell,\u201d she says, \u201ctwo days ago my husband left on a business trip. Yesterday I got a phone call from his boss and found out that he really ran off to Hawaii with his secretary and doesn\u2019t intend to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, my goodness, I\u2019m so sorry,\u201d the father says. \u201cBut what does that have to do with my son and your truck?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, this morning he called and told me he was stranded because he got robbed of his wallet with all his credit cards and cash. He told me to sell his new F150 and send him the money.
