{"id":27027,"date":"2022-10-26T20:23:27","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T20:23:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mrhealthyalternative.com\/?p=27027"},"modified":"2022-10-26T20:23:27","modified_gmt":"2022-10-26T20:23:27","slug":"cooking-chicken","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mrhealthyalternative.com\/?p=27027","title":{"rendered":"Cooking Chicken:"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"63d509947b33dea96ed9a09b2482b63d\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1554417\">\r\n<\/div>\r\n<script>(function(w,q){w[q]=w[q]||[];w[q].push([\"_mgc.load\"])})(window,\"_mgq\");\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<\/div>\n<p>My wife made this \u201cChicken Pasta in Creamy White Wine Parmesan Cheese Sauce<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/ta9\/1.5\/16\/1f525.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd25\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/>\u201d, y\u2019all help me make her day with compliments \u2026Be kind\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t43\/1.5\/16\/1f970.png\" alt=\"\ud83e\udd70\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<h3>For Cooking Chicken:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 4\u00a0thin boneless skinless chicken breasts (or 2 thick ones, halved horizontally and paper towel dried)<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 \u00bd cup flour<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 \u00bc teaspoon black pepper<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 2 tablespoons olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\">\n<h2><strong>Pasta:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 12 oz of spaghetti<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>White Wine Parmesan Sauce:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 4 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 small yellow onion (or use \u00bd onion) chopped<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 4 garlic cloves minced<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 2 scallions chopped<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 2 small tomatoes diced<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 tablespoon flour<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 cup heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 cup white wine<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 \u00bd cup Parmesan cheese shredded<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 \u00bd teaspoon salt more to taste<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 \u00bc teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PREPARING CHICKEN BREASTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make sure to cut chicken breasts horizontally to make them thin. Or, use thin chicken breasts to begin with. Paper towel dry the chicken.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Stir well to blend. Using a fork or tongs, coat the chicken breasts in the flour mixture by pressing into the mixture with tongs and then flipping the chicken over to coat the other side. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COOKING CHICKEN BREASTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot, place flour coated chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, turning once between cooking, about 8-10 minutes. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAUCE:<\/strong> Add butter, diced yellow onion and minced garlic cloves to pan. Cook on medium high until onions and garlic are translucent, about 2 minutes. Next add chopped scallions and tomatoes. Add 1 tablespoon flour to pan and whisk to combine.<\/p>\n<p>Now add heavy cream, wine, Italian Seasoning, salt and red pepper flakes. Bring mixture to a simmering point and then add \u00bd cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. Use a whisk or a wooden spoon and mix it in until you have a smooth mixture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COOKING PASTA<\/strong> according to your package instructions in salty water. I like pasta that is neither too hard nor too soft, so I always cook it Al Dente. Drain, but do not rinse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FINAL ASSEMBLY:<\/strong> Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce and stir to combine on low heat for 2-4 minutes. Taste and add salt, if needed.
