Thanksgiving cactus is a holiday cactus that flowers in fall. It is easy to grow and has long lasting tubular flowers.<\/p>\n

      Instructions<\/h3>\n

      Add lots of organic matter to the soil of Thanksgiving cactus to ensure it drains well.<\/p>\n

      Place the plant outdoors in the shade during the summer months but bring indoors if the temperature will drop below 50 degrees F.<\/p>\n

      Place the pot in bright light but not direct sunlight.<\/p>\n

      Keep evenly moist during the bloom time, but water lightly the rest of the year, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out before watering again<\/p>\n

      Fertilize with a succulent food during bloom time every two weeks.<\/p>\n

      The blooming season is from November to March<\/p>\n

      Prune well in the spring to encourage a bushier plant.<\/p>\n

      Propagate from these leaf cuttings in the spring.<\/p>\n

      Only cold hardy in zones 10 and above. In other locations, grow as a houseplant.<\/p>\n
