After receiving a DNA test as a gift, she went online to seek up one of the DNA websites.<\/p>\n<p>Her DNA tests proved that she is not half-French and half-Italian, as she had previously believed to be the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt said I was from the British Isles,\u201d I explained, according to her. However, it did not say that I was 100% Irish. But it didn\u2019t say anything about my race, and that was all I knew.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her discoveries made her feel as though she had been lying to herself for most of her life. \u2018Who am I?\u2019 she wondered as she peered into the glass.<\/p>\n<p>Worse, her biological father was not the man who reared her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t believe he knew about it,\u201d she later said.<\/p>\n<p>She was surrounded by chaos. She couldn\u2019t figure-out what was going-on.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Genealogy testing offered hope to the presumed half-sisters.<\/p>\n<p>The results revealed that she was linked to Linda Rinaldo in particular.<\/p>\n<p>She knew it was the same lady because she had previously worked with her.<\/p>\n<p>All that was written in the outcome was \u2018close relatives or first cousins.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Her only statement, according to Rinaldi, was that we were related. \u2018Wouldn\u2019t it be amusing if we were twins?\u2019 I made a joke. She said, \u201cI know you\u2019re my sister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Linda commented that she had not anticipated meeting someone who shared her sense of humor.<\/p>\n<p>Their suspicions were confirmed by a DNA test: they were half-sisters!<\/p>\n<p>They were only 16-months apart in age.<\/p>\n<p>Linda was a \u201cgift from above,\u201d according to Cheryl Beckers since she helped her notice a sister\u2019s aptitude.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the open arms with which she embraced me.\u201d She had only recently greeted me.
