With homemade\u00a0pie crust dough<\/p>\n<p>Family Meat Pie Recipe<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_165157039416\">1 medium potato<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_165157039426\">1 pound ground beef<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394338\">\u2153 clove garlic, chopped<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394450\">\u00bd cup chopped onion<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_165157039459\">\u00bc cup water<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394619\">\u00bd tsp mustard powder<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394746\">\u00bd tsp dried thyme<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394836\">\u00bc tsp ground cloves<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394934\">1 tsp salt<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_1651570394106\">\u00bc tsp ground black pepper<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label for=\"checkbox_16515703941121\">\u00bc tsp dried sage<\/label><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Place the potato in a saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain, mash, and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, crumble the ground beef into a large saucepan, and add the garlic, onion and water. Season with mustard powder, thyme, cloves and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring to crumble the meat and mix in the spices, until the meat is evenly browned.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from the heat, and mix in the mashed potato<\/p>\n<p>Place one of the pie crusts into a 9 inch pie plate(pie crust recipe in link in description) . Fill with the meat mixture, then top with the other pie crust. Prick the top crust a few times with a knife to vent steam.<\/p>\n<p>Crimp around the edges using the tines of the fork, and remove any excess dough. Cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil.
