{"id":23779,"date":"2022-01-05T23:37:01","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T23:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mrhealthyalternative.com\/?p=23779"},"modified":"2022-01-05T23:37:01","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T23:37:01","slug":"chicken-pot-pie-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mrhealthyalternative.com\/?p=23779","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Pot Pie Biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"63d509947b33dea96ed9a09b2482b63d\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"1554417\">\r\n<\/div>\r\n<script>(function(w,q){w[q]=w[q]||[];w[q].push([\"_mgc.load\"])})(window,\"_mgq\");\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<\/div>\n<h3>Chicken Pot Pie Biscuits<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23780 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mrhealthyalternative.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"345\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 tbsp butter<\/li>\n<li>1 onion, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper<\/li>\n<li>5 tbsp plain flour<\/li>\n<li>1 sprig fresh thyme, leaves removed<\/li>\n<li>1 sprig rosemary, leaves removed<\/li>\n<li>3 cups chicken stock<\/li>\n<li>2 chicken breasts<\/li>\n<li>1 cup milk<\/li>\n<li>1 large potato, diced and blanched<\/li>\n<li>1 cup frozen peas, defrosted<\/li>\n<li>4 sheets puff pastry<\/li>\n<li>1 egg, beaten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>INSTRUCTIONS\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375 degrees.In a frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter.<\/p>\n<p>Add the onion and cook for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Then add the salt, pepper, flour and herbs and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour in the chicken stock and bring to a boil.<\/p>\n<p>Reduce to low heat and add the chicken, then simmer until the stew has thickened slightly and the chicken has cooked, about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the chicken, add the milk, then cook for an additional 4 minutes. Shred the chicken.Remove the pan from the heat and split the sauce in half.<\/p>\n<p>To one half add the potatoes, peas and shredded chicken.
