Hungarian sweet and savory slices

The mass is the same for both types.

  • 2 tablets of yeast for bread
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 cups (tea) of warm milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of margarine
  • 1/4 cup (tea) of oil
  • 1 kg of wheat flour

Mix everything and let it rest for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into four equal parts, rolling each one out, making it as thick as a finger. After opening the dough, add the sweet or savory stuffing and roll it into a roulade. Cut the roulade into two-finger slices and place to bake.

Sweet filling

  • 5 tablespoons of margarine
  • 1 cups (tea) of sugar
  • 1 package (100 g) of grated coconut

Place this cream on top of the open dough and sprinkle with grated coconut.

The cream can be replaced by dulce de leche or guava paste

  • 2 cups (tea) of milk
  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar

Spread the curd over the dough and add the remaining ingredients. The mortadella can be replaced by sausage, sausage, ground beef, palm hearts, mushrooms or broccoli. Enjoy your food!
