Without magnesium there is no life

In a scientific study that was recently published in The Journal of Intensive Care Medicine, found that people who rarely or take a little magnesium have twice higher chance of premature death. Despite our daily necessity for taking magnesium, more than 80% of the population in developed countries suffers from a chronic lack of magnesium. Scientists believe that this situation can be called a modern pandemic that simply can be eradicated with taking magnesium supplements.

Magnesium is an alkaline earth metal, the eighth most abundant mineral in the Earth’s crust. Because of the extreme water solubility of the magnesium, after sodium chloride, it is the third most abundant mineral in sea water. In the human body, magnesium is the eleventh most abundant element (about 57 grams in the body of average weight). Most of the magnesium in the body is found in the skeleton and teeth (approximately 60 to 65% of the total). The remaining amount is in the muscle tissues and cells while only one percent of the blood.

Magnesium ions are essential for all forms of life, especially for overall optimum health of any modern person. Magnesium is essential in all metabolic functions involved in the creation of energy and its transmission (the transmission of ATP, the basic energy module body), also in the creation of proteins, in particular in the biochemistry of the life of nucleic acid within our genetic (DNA and RNA), in all living organisms on our planet. In plants the magnesium ions are in the center of each molecule of chlorophyll, which is important for the production of energy from sunlight. Magnesium is an essential element for the animals and plants because it is involved in literally hundreds of enzymatic reactions that affect all of life’s phenomena.

Every cell of the human body requires a steady intake of magnesium otherwise deteriorates and dies. Strong teeth and bones, balanced hormones, healthy nervous and cardiovascular systems, well-functioning detoxification process and much more depend on the sufficient amount of magnesium in the cells. The ratio of magnesium and calcium

This drainage usually occurs as a result of acid rain. Magnesium is actually one of most deficient minerals in arable soils. To make matters worse industry is constantly creating new hybrid plants that have been bred to survive in these mineral depleted soils. When animals or people eat mineral-poor fruit, sooner or later it becomes a cause of disease. Although in terms of nutrition organically grown crops should be better and healthier, this has become a rarity, because we don`t know how farmers make up minerals in their fields. Modern farming is not something that the human species has evolutionary done, therefore by eating fruits we don`t pay just money, but also pay with our health.

States from 1936, that it is a frightening fact that we present food crops that are grown on millions of acres of land in which a chronic lack of healthy and essential minerals actually starve no matter how many fruits, vegetables and greens to eat. Modern eating habits

Magnesium and other nutrients are reduced or lost in fruits by harvesting and handling, cooling, transport and storage even if all these steps carefully implemented. Fluoride in toothpaste, drinking water (if you live in countries that fluoride water) in food products and beverages, binds with magnesium, which creates an almost insoluble mineral compound that ends stored in the bones and increases the risk of fractures. Water would in fact be an excellent source of magnesium if it comes from deep wells in which magnesium was present or from glacial streams that are rich in minerals. Municipal sources of drinking water usually originate from surface waters, such as rivers and streams that have low levels of magnesium. Even many bottled mineral water have fairly low levels of magnesium with a very high concentration of calcium.

Processed food, synthetic foods, high sugar content, alcohol and fizzy drinks, each individually destroy magnesium because the metabolism and detoxification of these mostly artificial foods need a lot of magnesium. According to researcher Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, the body needs at least eight molecules of magnesium to work through a single molecule of glucose. The phosphates in soft drinks and processed meats (cold cuts, pates, salami and frankfurters) are connected with magnesium to form the insoluble magnesium phosphate in the body that is completely unusable.

Tannins, oxalates and phytic acid can also bind with magnesium, making it unusable for the body. It is interesting to note that the foods that generally contain higher amounts of magnesium (assuming they are grown on soil rich in minerals) also contains many anti-nutrients mostly in spinach and Swiss chard (oxalates) and whole grains (phytates, gluten).

Medications that stimulate urination cause a loss of magnesium in the body, mostly diuretics for hypertension, birth control pills, insulin, tetracycline and other antibiotics and corticosteroids and bronchodilators for asthma. By losing magnesium every symptom that these drugs “cure” over time becomes more and more difficult.

Using iron supplements can interfere with the absorption of magnesium. If you take calcium supplements, your need for magnesium and calcium increases so it won`t properly be absorbed or digested if it`s lacking adequate amounts of magnesium because it will ultimately be deposited in soft tissues. Magnesium is responsible for the conversion of vitamin D to its active form, which allows the absorption of calcium, and also manages the transfer of calcium to hard tissues, where it belongs. Lactose is another obstacle to the absorption of magnesium (milk is not really a good source of this mineral), and it is also a natural plastic casein which is a dangerous nervous blocker and large amounts of potassium, phosphorus and sodium.

Increased sweating in endurance sports such as marathon running or strenuous exercise routines can dangerously lower the level of magnesium and other electrolytes, but strangely enough calcium is also lost, which causes tremors, unconsciousness and even death.
