solSurely you’ve heard many times about how salt is unhealthy. However, our bodies can`t live without salt. Then what kind of salt should we consume, and in what quantities? Salt or sodium chloride (NaCl) has an important role in our bodies physiological processes and is essential for life and health. All body fluids – blood, sweat, saliva and tears are salty.

Our body can`t produce salt so we must consume it through our food.

Lack of salt causes chemical imbalance in the body. Without salt, our muscular and nervous system will cease their function.

However, it`s not all the same what kind of salt we consume. There is a big difference between processed (refined) and natural salt.

Why refined salt is harmful

Daily we most often use refined (table) salt whose chemical structure during processing and drying at high temperatures has changed.

This salt does not contain it`s valuable elements and minerals, and ultimately makes the body more harm than good.

Table salt is made up of 97.5% sodium chloride and supplements, such as iodine, and various chemicals, including aluminum which is intended to preserve the dryness of the salt.

Aluminum is a toxic metal that is associated with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

A large proportion of sodium in table salt also greatly harms the body.

In addition to weakened immunity, excessive use of refined salt is associated with:

  • high blood pressure
  • heart diseases
  • kidney and gastric diseases
  • gall and kidney stones
  • osteoporosis
  • rheumatic diseases
  • cellulite forming

Of course we need salt, but not just any, but only one that is not ruined by processing and unnecessary extras.

Is there a healthier alternative?

Unrefined sea or rock salt are a better choice – only if they are used in reasonable amounts.

In fact, any salt, including natural, will do damage to the body if we food we eat too much of it.

However, among the natural salts there is a big difference.

Sea salt due to the increasing pollution of the sea is not so healthy.

For this reason, most of it is purified and comes to our table as refined.

In addition, regardless of what comprises valuable minerals and trace elements, under a microscope we can see that sea salt has an irregular crystal structure, separate from the natural elements.

Therefore, our body don`t have a lot of use of the valuable components of sea salt.

The body has to invest a lot of energy to get it absorbed. The benefits of sea salt it is actually small compared to the energy consumption needed for absorbing it.

It is similar with rock salt, whose crystal structure is also irregular, so from the biophysical and biochemical point of view we do not have the full use of the valuable elements that it contains.

What makes the salts regular crystal structure is a time-consuming, persistent tectonic pressure.

In other words, besides sodium chloride – what salt basically is – we insert a number of valuable elements in our body, due to using salt that has a balanced crystal structure.

Himalayan salt – perfectly clean and usable source of nutrients

Himalayan salt was the only salt that has a perfect crystal structure.

From such crystal structures of our body can easily and simply absorb all the valuable minerals and trace elements without much effort.

Himalayan salt is the purest salt in the world and has 84 minerals and elements identical to those in the human body.

A sufficient amount of minerals, trace elements and electrolytes is necessary for staying healthy.

It`s their lack or unbalanced that causes changes in body functions, which makes ‘ordinary’ salt unhealthy.

Table salt, unlike Himalayan doesn`t contain any electrolytes, such as potassium, calcium and magnesium, which we lose due to increased perspiration during extreme heat, exercise or disease.

Himalayan salt belongs to the group of rock salts, but unlike the others, was created by huge tectonic pressures for a period of 250 million years.

Originally from the ancient seas, with a completely environmentally clean structure has been obtained from the Himalayas.

Manually grounded, washed and dried in the sun, which fully preserved all its valuable ingredients.

“White gold”

Traditionally, Himalayan salt was considered reserved for kings and has long been known as a white gold.

The highest quality boulders are milled into table salt.

Larger grounded salt is used in baths and various treatments.

It is proven to be very effective in the treatment of rheumatism, asthma, allergies and various skin diseases.

It is also suitable for inhalation, for example, for sinus problems, sore throat, bronchitis, or asthma.

Himalayan salt is recognizable by its warm shades of pink – which is also a sign that it is rich in various minerals.

Studies have found that heating the salt ionized the air making it cleaner and healthier, which is why some chunks are made into the popular Himalayan salt lamps and candles.

Also, it is believed to eliminate harmful electromagnetic radiation and is recommended to keep such lamps by the TV and computer.

Consuming natural, whole salts like Himalayan salt has beneficial effects on the whole organism.

It is believed that Himalayan salt:

  • regulates the level of water in the body
  • provides the body with valuable nutrients
  • removes excess acid from the cells
  • is a natural antihistamine
  • clean the lungs, supports healthy respiratory function
  • reduces sinus congestion
  • regulates digestion
  • increases the libido
  • helps the absorption of food in the gut
  • balances the blood sugar level
  • regulates heart rate and blood pressure
  • preserves the health of the blood vessels
  • protects the kidneys and gallbladder
  • helps relaxation and healthy sleep
  • prevents muscle spasms and maintains solid bones
  • rejuvenates body
