Himalayan salt – The Healthiest Salt
Surely you’ve heard many times about how salt is unhealthy. However, our bodies can`t live without salt. Then what kind of salt should we consume, and in what quantities? Salt or sodium chloride (NaCl) has an important role in our bodies physiological processes and is essential for life and health. All body fluids – blood, sweat, saliva and tears are salty.
Our body can`t produce salt so we must consume it through our food.
Lack of salt causes chemical imbalance in the body. Without salt, our muscular and nervous system will cease their function.
However, it`s not all the same what kind of salt we consume. There is a big difference between processed (refined) and natural salt.
Why refined salt is harmful
Daily we most often use refined (table) salt whose chemical structure during processing and drying at high temperatures has changed.

Table salt is made up of 97.5% sodium chloride and supplements, such as iodine, and various chemicals, including aluminum which is intended to preserve the dryness of the salt.
Aluminum is a toxic metal that is associated with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
A large proportion of sodium in table salt also greatly harms the body.
In addition to weakened immunity, excessive use of refined salt is associated with:
- high blood pressure
- heart diseases
- kidney and gastric diseases

- cellulite forming
Of course we need salt, but not just any, but only one that is not ruined by processing and unnecessary extras.
Is there a healthier alternative?
Unrefined sea or rock salt are a better choice – only if they are used in reasonable amounts.
In fact, any salt, including natural, will do damage to the body if we food we eat too much of it.
However, among the natural salts there is a big difference.
Sea salt due to the increasing pollution of the sea is not so healthy.
For this reason, most of it is purified and comes to our table as refined.
In addition, regardless of what comprises valuable minerals and trace elements, under a microscope we can see that sea salt has an irregular crystal structure, separate from the natural elements.
